Karan leads the Capital Markets Advisory at KPMG in India and has over 28 years of professional experience supporting companies with IPO readiness, financial reporting, M&A, Deal structuring and Investor Relations. He also leads the firm's engagement with start ups and emerging growth companies in the North. He has worked extensively with some of the largest Indian and Global companies advising them on matters related to financial reporting under Indian GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP and regulatory compliance with the Companies Act, 2013, SEBI, SEC and other similar regulatory requirements. Prior to joining KPMG in India 2013, he worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers's Capital Markets practice in U.S., India and Hong Kong. Additionally, Karan holds accreditation as a trainer with IIRC and has conducted various training sessions covering topics like ESG, BRSR, IR and Corporate Governance. His expertise also extends to managing several large and complex financial reporting projects including IPOs, conversions and other accounting advisory projects.

He assists clients in integrating and driving the principles of sustainability based on national and global frameworks such such as the UN sustainable development goals, UN global compact, GRI, SASB etc. He also brings in strong consulting experience in sustainability disclosures and assurance, QEHS audits, ESG due diligences, EHS regulatory trainings, verification, and validation of carbon emission reduction projects, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and ESG advisory assignments.
